Junior Teacher Training.
Element’s Junior Teacher Training Program is our one-of-a-kind program designed to create dance instructors from a young age. Lead by Studio Director Andrea Forrest, the JTT program offers an opportunity for participants to learn, grow, and hone, the skills required to be an effective dance teacher.
Through mentoring, practice, and assessments, trainees will gain an understanding of what it takes to not only possess good dance technique, but also what it takes to actually teach it. During the program, trainees have the opportunity to shadow and assist a variety of classes of differing ages, design their own age-appropriate lesson plans, choreograph pieces for our year end show, along with a number of other exercises all geared toward creating a well-rounded dance instructor.
Upon successful completion of the program trainees will have the tools needed to become a Junior Teacher. Examples of opportunities for Junior teachers include, teaching summer classes, summer camps as well as season classes from September to June for the Junior section of our School.
